Our long-term outcomes are to develop a startup mindset in students with four goals: (1) increasing the number of tech startup entrepreneurs, (2) diversifying the tech industry, (3) increasing the number college bound youth in technology and (4) take students to Silicon Valley to experience the startup culture.
We will partner with tech companies, venture capital firms and veteran entrepreneurs to provide programming to under-served communities.
After participating in the CNN Black In America 4: The New Promised Land Silicon Valley with Soledad O’Brien we saw the need to address the pipeline issue in the technology and startup sectors.
Our programming will consist of mentoring sessions, speaker’s series, building apps and entrepreneurial training.
